4 creative writing tips
Whether for work, school or for fun sometimes writing something down can be hard. These are some of the writing techniques I deploy in order to create a work using the written word.
Just start writing
Stuck? Just start writing.
The simple act of hitting keys or putting pen to paper lets the creative writing juices flow.
Set a timer
Focus on writing for a set amount of time. I personally started at 7 minutes intervals, then 14 minutes & then I went on to write for 28 minutes straight. The important thing here is to create then edit.
Imitate another's work
Find a piece of work like the one you want to write, read it, then write your own version of that.
Ask God for help
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the word was God.
So, doesn't it make sense to ask for help from the source of all words?
